A LiftMaster unit that clicks without moving the door needs a different visit from one that operates normally but has lost app access. Tell Jack’s which controls still work and the model number if you already have it. We assess the door as well as the opener before recommending parts.
Motor problem or access problem?
A working wall control is useful information when a handheld remote stops responding. If the door is also heavy, crooked or visibly damaged, stop using it. An electronic replacement should not be chosen simply because the housing light comes on but the door stays still.
Plan replacement around the equipment you use
Before replacing an older opener, list the remotes, keypad, vehicle buttons and app access you want to keep. Compatibility is model-specific. We can discuss repair availability and a replacement option in one estimate, including which existing accessories would need to change.
Your questions, answered.
Can you service a LiftMaster without replacing the whole unit?
That depends on the fault and availability of suitable parts. Give us the model, symptom and any previous repair history so the visit can address the actual problem.
Does myQ connectivity prove the door is working safely?
No. App access and safe mechanical operation are separate questions. A door that is damaged or moving abnormally needs inspection even if the app can reach the opener.
